Solid Colour Epoxy

Solid Color Epoxy Flooring

Solid colour epoxy gives you a clean, uniform floor with a professional look and a seamless surface that is easy to maintain.

It is a strong choice when you want consistency, simple cleaning, and a finish built for daily traffic. We install a system of primer and build coats, then protect it with a durable topcoat selected for your environment. The result is a floor that resists stains, handles routine cleaning, and performs well in garages, basements, storage areas, corridors, utility rooms, retail back areas, workshops, and many commercial interiors. If your slab has heavy damage, unevenness, old coatings, or moisture risk, we will assess it and recommend the right prep and system build before installing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for common questions

How does the whole process work?
We start with a slab assessment and mechanical grinding to create a surface the coating can bond to. We complete repairs where appropriate, then apply primer and build coats for strength and uniform coverage. We finish with a protective topcoat chosen for your environment, then provide a return to service schedule and care guidance.
Is solid colour epoxy better than flake epoxy?
It depends on your goals. Solid colour gives a clean uniform look and is great for utility and commercial interiors. Flake hides dust and minor imperfections better and is popular for garages. We recommend based on use, cleaning routine, and the look you want.
Will it show scratches and scuffs?
Solid colour floors can show wear more than flake because the surface is visually uniform. Choosing satin instead of high gloss helps hide marks, and the right topcoat improves wear resistance. Regular removal of grit also reduces scuffing.
Is it slippery when wet?
A smooth glossy finish can be slippery when wet. We can add traction options to improve grip while keeping the floor practical to clean. We recommend the right traction level based on moisture risk and maintenance needs.
Will cracks still show?
We repair cracks and joints where appropriate, but concrete can move over time. Some lines may remain faint or reappear depending on slab movement. We set expectations during the assessment.
How long does it take and when can I use the space?
Most projects take 1 to 3 days depending on prep and size. Cure time depends on temperature, humidity, and the topcoat. We provide a clear schedule for foot traffic and heavier use like vehicles or equipment.
How do I maintain a solid colour epoxy floor?
Sweep or vacuum grit regularly, then mop with a neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh acids and strong solvents unless the system is designed for them. Using entrance mats and keeping sand and grit off the surface extends the life of the finish.
