Metallic Epoxy

Metallic Epoxy Flooring

Metallic epoxy is a premium, seamless finish designed for visual impact.

Using metallic pigments and controlled application techniques, we create depth, movement, and a unique pattern that looks different in changing light. It is ideal for feature interiors where aesthetics matter as much as performance, such as showrooms, lobbies, reception areas, studios, salons, and finished basements. The surface is sealed with a protective clear topcoat for durability and easier maintenance.

Metallic epoxy is not a hiding system. Because it is smooth and reflective, slab imperfections can show if prep is rushed. We assess the concrete first and recommend the right level of repair and surface correction so the final result matches expectations. If the slab condition or environment is not suitable, we will recommend a different system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for common questions

How does the whole process work?
We start by assessing the slab and confirming the finish direction, then we mechanically grind and complete repairs to create a clean foundation. Next we apply a base coat and the metallic layer, shaping the movement pattern during installation. Finally we seal it with a clear protective topcoat and provide a return to service timeline and care guidance.
Will the pattern look exactly like the photos I send?
Metallic epoxy is a controlled artistic finish, but no two floors are identical. We can match the style and colour direction, and we will confirm expectations before installation, but the exact movement will always be unique to your slab, lighting, and application.
Is metallic epoxy good for garages or heavy equipment areas?
It is usually better for interior feature spaces. Garages and heavy wear areas tend to perform better with flake epoxy or a tougher commercial system. If you want a premium look in a higher wear area, we can recommend the best option based on use.
Will scratches show?
Glossy floors show wear more than textured systems. Choosing a satin topcoat reduces visible scuffs, and keeping grit off the surface helps protect the finish. We recommend the right topcoat based on traffic and cleaning routine.
Is it slippery?
Like any smooth coated surface, it can be slippery when wet. If moisture risk exists, we can discuss traction options, but most metallic floors are installed in dry interior areas.
How long does it take and when can I use the space?
Most metallic epoxy projects take 1 to 3 days depending on prep and size. Cure time depends on temperature, humidity, and the topcoat. We provide a clear schedule for foot traffic and heavier use before the job starts.
How do I maintain metallic epoxy?
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit, then mop with a neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals unless approved for the system. Felt pads under furniture and mats at entrances help reduce micro scratching.
